I really like this storage set-- it has a good combination of sizes. The shape is also good because they can fit more easily in my husband's lunch sack. Glass is so much better than plastic because it does not get stained in the microwave, you can see what food you have stored in the fridge easily and the fact that they have lids means you don't need to bother with wrapping anything up. I use these every night when I am putting leftovers away and then my husband just grabs one for work and goes! Customer Review: Life saver.

Once I realized that I was poisoning my family by using plastics in my kitchen - it was a no-brainer to toss them out and find a replacement pronto. I love this Pyrex set! The lids are great, and the entire set is of great quality. I only wish that it came with larger bowls. Overall I really can't complain about this set, I just need to find a set that has a couple of large storage dishes. With Thanksgiving looming I am going to need something with more size. But I can tell you that I will shop amazon and Pyrex for that! :) (Also, some reviewers complained of not getting the sizes indicated. I was sent exactly what I should have been and they were in perfect condition upon arrival.)Customer Review: purex delight containers

I really love my Pyrex glass containers.......I use them every day....the different sizes really suit my needs.
I will give a hint about the resealable tops...they were a bit tight at first, I wasn't able to get them onto the bowls but running them under the tap with warm water did the trick. I already had the rectangular set for years so I was aware of their uses so completing the set with the round containers really works! The clean up is a whisk and I save storage space which is really limited here by nesting them.

I bought and used the Ziplock or Rubbermaid thin, cheap, plastic containers for years. I began getting a little more concerned about the plastic getting into my food and of course there's the cliche of having 2000 containers and no tops to fit them.
These containers are very well made. The lids the very thick plastic and disherwasher safe in the top rack. Further, being glass, they don't trap smells if I put fish or something in them.
Finally, I suppose there's a place for the disposable type containers (taking food to friends, parties, work, etc.) but at home, these are the only way to store food!

I RECEIVED THIS ITEM END OF JULY AND OPENED THE BOX AND ONLY 4 GLASS PIECES WERE SURVIVED., I HAD TO TAKE EVERYTHING OUT AND EVEN CUT MY INDEX FINGER., I ENDED UP THROWING AWAY THE BOX DUE TO ALL THE SMALL BROKEN GLASSES., I TRAVEL ALOT AND I WAS IN MIAMI FOR ONLY 6 DAYS., I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED AMAZON.COM AND ADVISED THEM THAT I WILL RETURN TO MIAMI THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPT AND WHEN I ARRIVED I WOULD SEND THEM IN THE SAME BOX I RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT THE 4 PIECES THAT SURVIVED FROM THE FIRST SHIPMENT.,, I ARRIVED AND MY REPLACEMENT WAS AT MY HOME., THIS TIME WORSE., YOU COULD HEAR ALL THE BROKEN GLASS, I THINK ALL OF THEM WERE BROKEN., I DID NOT EVEN OPEN THE BOX AT ALL I JUST INSERTED THE 4 SURVIVING PIECES FROM THE 1ST SHIPMENT AND PUT THEM INSIDE THE OUTER BOX DROVE TO THE US POST OFFICE AND SHIPPED IT BACK TO AMAZON.COM., IN THE MEANTIME WHILE I WAS AWAY., I RECEIVED 2 EMAILS FROM AMAZON.COM REMINDING ME THAT I HAD NOT SENT BACK THE 4 SURVIVING PEICES., THE 1ST EMAIL I WROTE BACK AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I HAD ALREADY TOLD THEM THAT I HAD TO LEAVE AND WOULD NOT BE BACK UNTIL THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPT., I RECEIVED A 2ND EMAIL FROM AMAZON SAYING THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE 2ND SHIPMENT., AND THEY DID!!., I HAVE BEEN ORDERING FROM AMAZON FOR YEARS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED., I JUST TOLD THEM I DID NOT WANT THIS ITEM AT ALL AS THEY ARE NOT PACKING IT CORRECTLY DUE TO ITS GLASS AND IT HAS TO BE PACKAGED MORE CAREFULLY., BAD EXPERIENCE WITH AMAZON
