I first bought these Pyrex Portables at a Corning Outlet Shop in Queenstown, MD about 12 yrs ago. I have used them routinely and often over that same period of time. I use both the hot pac and the cold pac and find them entirely satisfactory. They work just great. I have referred many others to these devices and highly recommend them for use in carrying prepared foods to church "coffee hours", church picnics, and church potlucks. The women never seem to tire of carefully examining them and asking questions indicating they are suspicious and having a hard time believing any man could come up with something so simple and yet ingenious. Many argue they already have the Pyrex dishes and why they cannot buy the carrier and hot/cold pacs separately. Chalk that up to female chintsy cheapness. It is a good, time tested, American made product. It will serve your needs and do a good job besides. Stop whining and get your own Pyrex Portables.
